EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNTIES IN NEW YORK
Assistant/Associate Research Scientist
A position as Assistant/Associate Researcher is available to provide technical support for ongoing research projects in our laboratory at the CGSB, a dynamic and vibrant research environment in the heart of Greenwich Village. We are looking for motivated budding researchers with scientific curiosity, effective communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities who can manage a variety of tasks.
Responsibilities will include maintenance of laboratory stocks; operation of robotic equipment; experimental investigation using molecular biology, genetics, and microscopy; and participation in regular lab meetings and journal clubs. Opportunities for independent projects will be available with demonstrated ability for independent work and critical thinking.
Candidates must minimally hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and prior laboratory experience; a Masters degree, one or more years of professional experience in a laboratory environment, and familiarity with C. elegans and molecular biology methods are preferred. Interested candidates are encouraged to submit a cover letter, CV, and referee contact details for two letters of recommendation, to be considered. Apply here.

Postdoctoral Associate Positions
The Gunsalus and Piano Labs in NYU’s Center for Genomics & Systems Biology are searching for talented Postdoctoral Associates to develop experimental and computational research projects. We study the genetic and evolutionary mechanisms underlying early embryonic development in the animal model organism C. elegans, using both genome-scale functional genomic and small-scale molecular genetic approaches. Ongoing areas of investigation include genetic interaction networks, post-transcriptional regulation, and molecular genetic and cell biological mechanisms underlying embryonic development. We welcome interest in developing both ongoing and novel research projects in the lab. For computational biologists, we are particularly interested in candidates with a background in machine learning, statistics, network analysis, image processing, and/or data integration for application to large-scale phenotypic and genetic interaction data. The CGSB offers a dynamic and vibrant research environment in the heart of Greenwich Village. We also work closely with our sister lab at NYU Abu Dhabi, where projects focus primarily on natural products discovery and chemical genetics.
Interested candidates are encouraged to submit a cover letter, resume, and two letters of recommendation to Tiffany Kilfeather (tiffany.kilfeather * at * nyu.edu).
Employment Opportunties in Abu Dhabi
The Center for Genomics and Systems Biology at NYU Abu Dhabi is currently inviting applications for multiple positions. Note that you must be willing to relocate to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Please email Tiffany Kilfeather, Lab Manager, at tiffany.kilfeather at nyu.edu.
